Our pets are such a huge part of our homes, so it makes sense that we want them to feel comfortable, safe and happy too. Creating a pet-friendly home doesn't mean completely redesigning your house or spending a fortune on pet products. Sometimes, it's the little changes that make the biggest difference. Whether you have a dog, cat, rabbit or another much-loved companion, here are 5 simple ways to make your home safer, more comfortable and more enjoyable for both you and your pets.

1. Create a Dedicated Pet Space
This doesn't have to mean an entire room. A cosy corner with their bed, favourite blanket and a few toys can be enough. Having somewhere familiar to retreat to can help your pet feel secure, particularly when the house is busy. For smaller pets, this could be a carefully arranged enclosure or indoor space where they can rest, explore and play.
2. Keep Their Favourite Things Within Reach
Instead, keep a small selection of their favourite toys with their blanket somewhere accessible and rotate them every so often. This can make old toys feel exciting again and also helps prevent your home from becoming completely overrun with pet toys!3. Add Some Enrichment
This could be something as simple as a puzzle feeder, a new toy, a scent-based activity or hiding treats for your pet to find. You don't necessarily need expensive enrichment products either.Sometimes the simplest activities are the ones pets enjoy most.
